Important terms & frequently asked questions
What are my responsibilities regarding my dog's needs?
The owner is responsible for providing all necessary items for their dog's stay, including food, toys, and any other immediate needs. This ensures your pet has everything familiar and comfortable with them during their time at Phia's Place for Pups.
What should I know about risks and liability?
Phia's Place for Pups is a multi-animal facility. While responsible measures are always taken to ensure safety, there is still an inherent chance of injury, illness, and in very rare and unlikely cases, even death. By agreeing to this contract, you understand and acknowledge these associated risks with boarding and hereby relieve Phia's Place for Pups of any liability regarding your pet.
What is the policy for emergency veterinary care?
In the event of an emergency, you provide consent for Phia's Place for Pups to take your dog to a veterinarian for necessary treatment. All costs associated with emergency veterinary visits are the sole responsibility of the owner. We will make every effort to contact you prior to treatment, but your consent ensures immediate care if you cannot be reached.
What if I am unable to pick up my dog?
Timely communication regarding pick-up and drop-off times is essential. If more than an hour late for scheduled pickup there will be an additional $15 late pickup free, if drop off is unscheduled or short notice there will also be an additional $20 late notice fee. If no contact has been made by the owner within 30 days of the scheduled pick-up date, and all reasonable efforts to reach the owner have been exhausted, the dog will be considered abandoned and will be re-homed.
How does Phia's Place ensure my dog's safety?
Phia's Place for Pups is not only extremely well-educated and aware of dog body language. We have live camera feed on our pups 24/7 from any point your dogs can be seen and even spoken to thru our Roku smart home system.
Our experienced team utilizes our knowledge of dog behavior and body language to prevent most incidents before they ever occur. The video access provides us with the ability to check on the dogs even while they are sleeping without disturbing their rest.
Many measures are taken to ensure a safe and harmonious environment for all our canine guests.
Will my dog be left alone?
No, someone is always on the property at Phia's Place for Pups, ensuring that dogs are never alone or unattended. This constant supervision provides peace of mind and immediate attention whenever needed, reinforcing our commitment to excellent care.
What kind of care can my dog expect?
We pride ourselves on providing more hands-on care than most boarding facilities. Our dogs get to run free and spend a significant amount of time outdoors, engaging in stimulating activities and enjoying a natural environment, fostering both their physical and mental well-being.
What are the payment and refund policies?
Owners are responsible for making payments on time (typically upon drop off) as agreed upon for our dog sitting services. Please note that no refund will be issued after the dog has stayed overnight at our facility. Clear communication regarding pick-up and drop-off times is also expected.
